On July 16, 1999 in Charlotte, North Carolina at Carolina's Medical
Center, this 7 lb. 12 oz. baby boy was brought into the world at a
time when the city of Charlotte was growing at a rapid pace.

The Charlotte Hornets had just selected Baron Davis with their third
pick in the NBA Draft.

The Board of Education was in a frivolous court battle over the
school desegregation issue.

The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse had just completed its move away
from the Atlantic Ocean.

And through it all came this beautiful life. This precious, innocent
child that would later prove to be a leader of the masses. A newborn with
an unbelieveable ability to capture your heart and soul with his deep
brown eyes. A child whose only thought was: "Who are all of these
people and why is it so cold out here..."
